What this survey is
Your employer is using Buffer Workforce Financial Resilience Pulse to understand financial resilience and support needs across the workforce. Taking part is voluntary and takes about 4 minutes.
You can leave at any point before you submit, and you can skip any question.
Your responses are anonymous to your employer
No account is required, and you will not be asked for your name, email address, phone number, employee ID or other direct identifiers.
The survey has no login. Your employer does not give Buffer a list of employees, and the link you used is the same link every other employee received.
Buffer says “anonymous to your employer” rather than making a broader claim of technical anonymity. That wording is deliberate, and it will only be widened once logging, telemetry, IP handling, cookies, retention and administrative access have each been verified against the wider claim.
What the survey does not ask for
The survey does not ask for, and cannot accept:
- your name
- your email address
- your phone number
- your employee number or employee ID
- your Social Insurance Number
- your exact salary, exact savings balance or exact debt balance
- your credit score or credit-report information
- your bank or account information
- your date of birth
- your age, gender, postal code, job title, department, site, shift or manager
- written comments in your own words
What is stored
When you submit, Buffer stores the answer options you selected and the calendar date of your submission. That is all.
Your IP address, your device or browser details, the page you came from, the time of day you responded and your location are not stored with your answers. There is no advertising, retargeting, session replay or analytics tracking on this survey.
What your employer receives
Your employer does not receive individual answers. Results are reported only in aggregate when privacy thresholds are met.
If fewer than the minimum number of employees respond, no report is produced at all. Where very few people chose a particular answer, that number is withheld from the report rather than shown, so a small group cannot be singled out.
Your employer never receives individual answers, a list of respondents, response times, combinations of one person's answers, or any export of raw responses.
How your answers are not used
Your answers will not affect your employment. This survey is used only for educational, research and workforce measurement purposes.
Your survey answers are never used for:
- Buffer loan eligibility
- underwriting
- pricing
- servicing
- collections
- credit reporting
- employee-level marketing
- any employment decision, including performance, discipline, promotion or termination
Survey responses are not joined to employee lists, payroll records, benefits records, bank data, loan records, marketing profiles, credit information or Buffer lending systems.
Skipping questions
Some questions are personal. You may skip any question or choose “Prefer not to say” where offered. Please answer based on your own situation as accurately as you feel comfortable.
A question you skip is simply left out of that question's results. It does not count against you, and it does not spoil your submission.
Because you are not identified
Because Buffer does not collect information that identifies you, Buffer generally cannot locate or remove one individual response after it has been submitted. If you have a question or a concern about this survey, contact the privacy address published by Buffer, and your request will be documented.
How long answers are kept
Combined raw answers are deleted on a schedule after your employer's final report is produced. Combined reports are kept for a limited period and then deleted. The current schedule is published in Buffer's retention policy.
Voluntary participation
Your employer has agreed that participation is voluntary, that they will not attempt to identify respondents, that results will not be used for individual employment decisions, and that they will not treat you differently for choosing not to take part.
